My Involvement
I am credited as one of the two Narrative Designers and one of the three Artists for this game. Development took 48 hours, and I had to travel to an on-site location where the jam is held to work on the project.

At the start, I was more focused on the narrative side, developing the story and collaborating with another designer. We thought of a game about stress: a woman going through her most stressful day and trying not to have a meltdown.
When we made the game design, we also came up with context ideas, such as using words against the player, which require writing dialogue that can increase stress. to consider the context in the levels and the dialogue that can be used against the player.

(Early design draft for gameplay, and placement for UI.)
2D art design
Once I written the dialogue and completed the narrative side, I noticed that the team's artist is focusing on one big 2D asset. To speed up the art process, I taken up in making the smaller assets to make the game look more appealing.

(Stress relievers items, cup of coffee (left), box of cigerettes (middle) and a bottle of vodka (right). Stuff to keep someone up or calm down.)

(Stress Bar, acting as health)
For the art side, I am responsible for designing:

-
The Title Screen (as well as coming up with the name of our game)
-
Menu background
-
Menu buttons
-
The Stress Meter bar on the UI
-
Timer box on the UI
-
items to relieve stress (Tea, Cigarettes, Vodka)
-
Puddles to avoid.
-
Game Over screen

All these assets were designed in a pixel art style and used only the colours for our colour palette.
A Stressful Day
You're late to work, you forgot to charge your phone... could this day get any worse?

Dodge stressful thoughts and stockings-staining puddles in this funky little bullet hell game. Try to keep your stress back by chugging tea like any proper Brit, or chain-smoking like you mean it. Anything to keep the incoming meltdown at bay.

This game is part of the Greenwich Game Jam that happened in March 2024. I was in a team of Six and we made this game within 48 hours.
